Why do champions have coaches? All around the world, the best champions have coaches who become their closest confidants. In sports, the role of coaches is to help athletes perform at their peak. In business organisations, coaches are also needed to draw out the best in their people. It is talented people with high potential who will need the best of coaches to help them raise their levels of performance. To them, the coach as teacher, trainer, guide and mentor, serves to help them attain success and could mean the difference between mediocre and great achievements for them.

FACILITATOR
Dr Wilson Tay is the Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM). A respected corporate leader and manager, he is also a well-established educator. Dr Wilson has risen through rank and file roles as a manager to general manager and corporate chief executive in a career period spanning over thirty years in Australia and Malaysia. He has worked in many senior and diverse roles including Executive Director, Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Knowledge Officer, Chief Executive Officer, Principal Consultant and Executive Coach in well-known multinational corporations and public institutions overseas and locally. Over the last 12 years, he has been involved in organisational turnaround, organisational development, performance management, entrepreneurs development, executive coaching and business advisory assignments in Australia and Malaysia.

Dr Wilson possesses multiple professional and academic qualifications. His academic qualifications include the Bachelor of Business, Graduate Diploma in Business & Administration, Master of Business from the Curtin University of Technology and Doctor of Management (with Distinction) from Southern Cross University in Australia. His doctoral and post-doctoral areas of interest and research are in entrepreneurship and innovation, knowledge management, human capital development, corporate performance and change management.
